FEELING ANXIOUS
CHANGE YOUR BREATHING

Have you ever felt like no matter what you are stuck in a pattern of negative thinking? This is perfectly normal considering most of the negative beliefs we’ve had we have held for years. Here’s a quick technique that will help you shift.

When negative thoughts come up and you start to worry, change your breathing. Take a deep breath in from your diaphragm and blow out slowly like you are blowing through a straw. Do this one, two or three times until you feel calm. Breathe at whatever rate is comfortable for you. Then replace the thoughts of worry with an empowering statement that starts with “I AM” that is in alignment with the results that you want.

For example, if you are worried about money, pause, change your breathing as explained above, and then say for example, “I am one with an abundant universe and more than enough money flows to me joyfully and easily.”

A variation of this is after you change your breathing as explained above, pause and ask yourself, “What would I like to create in this moment?” Visualise and/or feel what you would like to create. For example, overflowing joy, or empowered communication with a desired outcome.

At first these thoughts may feel very strange. That’s okay. Over time they will become more familiar and you will begin to experience a change.
